SAH Project Newsletter: Sustainable agriculture through digitalisation

We are proud to present to you the 8th edition of the SmartAgriHubs magazine: Sustainable agriculture through digitalisation

In this edition, we talk about sustainable agriculture through digitalisation and how supporting innovation in the sector could be a game changer. And to be honest, we did not need to search very long before having plenty of contributions for our magazine!

You can see it by yourself, in the Taking Stock section, that from farmers to DIHs through SMEs and FIEs, SmartAgriHubs is full of great sustainable initiatives. Or you can read Eduardo Cuoco’s editorial, Director at IFOAM Organics Europe, to learn more about the positions of the European umbrella organisation for organic food and farming.

But, perhaps, you would prefer to read the Magnitude section where we present the last 4 FIEs of the project? And, yes – these FIEs are all developing technologies to make agriculture more sustainable. We also welcome, in the section Get to Know, the 3 new EXPAND laureates: IOT, Netrocks and ODYC. Read about how these three DIHs received funding through the SAH Open Call EXPAND and get inspired for your own proposal. And if you are interested in robotics, you must read the Synergy section, we interviewed the Robs4Crops EU project working on delivering a flexible and modular, fully autonomous system ready for large-scale commercial trial.

And last but not least, don’t miss the two major news from SmartAgriHubs:

- Check out the new Open Call PREPARE with a total budget of €1.2million, this is a new opportunity for DIH with the possibility to be funded up to €20.000.
- DIHs have until Friday 2nd April to register to the Peer Exchange Training Programme, you can read more here.
